CHEBOKSARY DAM – hydroelectric power station

Cheboksary Dam – Cheboksary hydroelectric power station is situated on the River Volga near the city of Novocheboksarsk, the Chuvash Republic.

The dam forms Cheboksary Reservoir which is located on the territory of three federal subjects – the Chuvash Republic, the Republic of Marii-El and

Novgorodskaya oblast. The power station is the fifth of the Volga-Kama Cascade of dams and the latest of constructed ones.

Installed power is 1404 MW and it is among the biggest power stations of Russia.
